Different kind of dangerous Well nothing is free and all I see is perilous But in the right mind you can leave it behind Things are looking up Well I'm hoping for a diamond in the night feeling kina rough But you smile at me, that's all I see You're glamorous, one time Well all the lost souls are looking to croon, What is left of us, And I'm gonna ride my mind with a couple of friends Cause I'm on the bus, Well I tell myself this whole affair is scandalous And later on tonight blowing out my voice singing just for us What makes you good enough for any time you took All alone inside your head is dangerous It's raining in my paradise and I can't find the hook All alone inside your head is where I'll look, where I'll look Well the writing's on the wall, in a couple of songs we'll pack it up Then you can tell me things that I'll never believe, you're ridiculous I'm just glad no one I know is murderous Only killing time with a bottle of wine sounds good to us, What makes you cry aloud or laugh away your blues, All I know we got nothing to lose It's raining in my paradise and I can't sober up Fell inside your heart and found the love, what love I don't really have much time for this, Always the first one is the best one, I don't really have much time for this, I don't really have much time, I would give it all up for a kiss Always the first one is the best one This is the last one that we'll have tonight

The Other Night I gotta tell you about the other night I gotta tell ya, not until I find my respirator Then we'll leave on the fly I find it hard to make up my mind And I never seen that look in your eyes And if you leave me alone then I'm turning a signal When I learn how to drive, And if we're really all about it We can fly right out of our minds She woke me up in the dawn of the night And then we drove until well out of sight The California smoke was bitter and romantic Had to turn on a dime And we got 25 miles to go, No need to tell me that there's nobody home And if we're arriving now or fashionably later Then we're where we belong And if we're really all about it you can peel me off of the lawn There's no need to say your sorry when you haven't done anything wrong She can hold her liquor and the stars are already home I knew I'd have to tell you But she wants me all to her own Gotta tell you about the other night When I remember the other night And if we're really all about it You can scrape me off of the wall There's no need to say you're sorry when you haven't done anything wrong
3.
You're gonna miss Five minutes is all that's left Till you're all thrown out, then you get around I'm using my last breath Till the wheels fall off Then record the sound I'll bet I'm almost there This is my last dance then I wonder why That I'll never get the chance For you and me to be kissing in the summertime I mean it's nothing less Then we're all making moves, just to get around I'll take mine with a twist Cause I'm sipping manhattans In a southern town Oh god I'm almost there If you stop now then I'm leaving, bye Gotta hang on to what's left of my mind Anything you're gonna miss If you're think you're gonna miss Get it on Now's the time to do the perfect crime I'm following my bliss Till it's all sewn up, every single line, Oh god I'm almost there if a pin could drop Then you'd turn aorund You gotta get lost before you're found Anything you're gonna miss If you're think you're gonna miss Get it on Tell me how I'm supposed to begin In the wine or I'm into the gin But I can't afford to get arrested anymore Anything you're gonna miss If you're think you're gonna miss Get it on

We Could Use the Rain Ever tell someone that they're beautiful, I would not complain, Hide in the lights that shine on you, As long as they remain, Out of your mind on an august moon, Howling out your name, Ever tell someone that they're beautiful, When you don't feel the same, It's all been going so wrong till you turn it around, Now you're looking in a window into what you were never about, Now you're alone in the afterglow, And then you seem to materialize, But the weight of the water is why I've been waiting to cry, I would tell summer that she's beautiful, If I didn't know her name, Fall in the nights that fall for you, They never are the same, Out of your mind on an autumn moon, I could not complain, I would tell summer that she's beautiful, But we could use the rain, It's really alright to go wrong till a lover is found, Now you're looking in a window into what she was always about Now we're alone in the afterglow, And then you seem to materialize, But you're in muddy water too long when the bottle is dry, It's really alright to go wrong till your lover is found, We're growing into California and there's gold all over the ground, Now all I know is the afterglow, But I can tell ya that I'm missing her eyes, But you're in muddy water too long when the bottle's dry, We could use the rain.
5.
Heaven... but not tonight You're looking like the hell tonight, You're turning like a driving wheel, Your eyes are on the road alright, You're telling me just how to feel, I wish it was another night, so I could turn the driving wheel, And we'd be getting home alright, hoping someone left a light on, It could've been another life, There's no one at the driving wheel, It's heaven but it's not tonight, You're burning like a lying deal, You're gonna take me home alright and tell me love is nothing real, We'll drink until the morning light and fall into the afterglow, And you know what I'm saying that we'll all stick together somehow, And you know what they're saying that they're all just a face in the crowd, Sailing out on a long, hungover day, Sailing out all alone, you're on your way, We're never going home alright, We're learning what the fuck is real, The deck is stacking high on the line, and no one's brokering the deal, We're living in a paradigm, That could fall apart, All in for a hell of a night and heaven's not a part of the deal, And you know what I'm saying that we'll all stick together somehow, And you know what they're saying they're all just a face in the crowd, Sailing out on a long, hungover day, Sailing out all alone, you're on your way, Love is like a letter, gone. No one's going home alright, We're turning like a driving wheel, It's heaven but it's not tonight, Someone must've left a light on.

Over the Hills Waking up in a time machine, Nothing is how nothing seems, For a while I could not believe, You'd disappear. No one's around when I fell apart, I was running from the start, Never knew right after dark, You would slow down Over the Hills Already gone are the days that we knew Over The Hills Light in your eye said it's time we flew Doubling down in another life, It's all working out this time, All I saw was a pair of eyes Laughing out loud, Who would've thought you'd come all this way, Just to kiss it all goodbye, For a while she had wanted to say, That she had to fly, Over the hills, Already gone are the days we knew, Over the hills, The light in your eye said it's time we flew, Over the hills, Drove all night just to sing for you, Over the hills, But not far away. Everybody's talking bout annihilation Better live it up before Annihilation Better live it up There's no dancing in the streets, Without a body to love, You got to burn it all clean, You put some honey in the mud, There's no taking out the trash, When you haven't got a home, And there's no crime in the streets now, When no one's dancing all alone, Gotta live it up Now I'm crying like a son No one's crying like a son Over the hills Already gone are the days we knew, Over the hills But not far away.

No One Cried 03:34
No One Cried Those diamonds in our eyes they could turn on you, And all of the tricks hidden up a sleeve know a thing or two, Now you're out on your own drying city tears in the avenues, Train's broken down but a heart of gold's staring right at you, Into the drink, buying record time for another round, Best look sharp when the bottle's loose, you could own the town, Into the streets, following the night, getting turned around, Left all alone in a leather booth with the queen of the underground, If the world's gone tomorrow, then we're doing it right, It's the last night promise and he's losing his mind, No one cried, If the world's gone tomorrow then we're doing it right, It's the last night promise and it's all on the line, Better tell your lover to keep pouring the wine, When the lights go out it's been a hell of a, hell of a time.

Not Following You Take me to the letter, Operator, And I'm still not following you, Almost to the letter, Operator, And I'm still not following you, Don't wanna know what you're really up to, Maybe I knew all along and it's not new news, Take me to the letter, Operator, And I'm still not following you, Someone's feeling better, Operator, And I'm still not following you, Take me to your heart, So I can sew the fucker up, They say that you should get a job, And now you're pissing in a cup, They say time is moving on, As soon as you are moving out, And now that we don't get along, nothing to cry about, All's fair in love and crime, Stealing alone or in a duet you'll be fine on your own, Any kind of weather, Operator, And I'm still not following you, Now I'm feeling better, hour later, But I'll never go down on you, Till I'm in your heart, I wish I never had a job, But I'd be only pissing drunk, They say time is moving on, So I guess I'll move out, We never really got along, nothing to cry about, Always is a pleasure, Operator, But I'm still not following you, Almost to the letter, Operator, But I'm still not following you!

about

BETTER LIVE IT UP BEFORE ANNIHILATION!

DIAMONDS OF RENO is a brand new classic rock album from the mind of San Francisco bartender and multi instrumentalist Christian Eric Beaulieu. Having cut his teeth in the underground punk and experimental scenes for decades, Beaulieu found himself in his forties behind the bar with no band, no plans and unlimited Mezcal. At first he rebelled against his mid life crisis. He finally grew a mustache. He dated too many women at once. He got a mohawk. He started therapy. Then he decided to make an album inspired by the classic rock radio stations that he once suffered through as a teenage dishwasher in the roadside coke dens of Florida, in the hopes that one day he could stalk a tour bus and tell a Heartbreaker that he too had swapped the Sunshine for the Golden State.

It was a dare to himself. The Bay Area waters are rich in arena rock drama and psychedelic folklore of all generations. From The Dead to Santana to the Doobie Bros and Howlin Rain to Drunk Horse to Once and Future Band, these stories and players all make their way to the saloon at some point. Diamonds Of Reno is Beaulieu's own intake of this relentless feed and it's concurrent lifestyle. Words across the wood, tabs left open to interpretation and blacked out after hours jams. While tending bar at a world famous jazz and blues club in the Haight Ashbury no less, he befriended a gold mine of hyper gifted musicians and charmed the talents outta them while plying with booze and one too many drink tickets.
Members from Bay Area institutions Barrio Manouche, Howell Devine, Mitch Polzak and the Royal Deuces, Americano Social Club, Sanders/Larson Quartet, Luxury Condor and We Arsons all make appearances on DOR. Based solely on friendship, love and the bond that Bay Area musicians share against the continuous odds they all face.

As a result DIAMONDS OF RENO gives birth to new genres: Apocalypse Blues and Service Industry Rock.

Beaulieu admits to mostly listening to MC5, Petty, Dinosaur Jr, Cheap Trick, and ZZ Top during this "process". But also reveals it's basically REM meets REO. This type of raw new mixed rock genres energy could fit onto all kinds of stages with artists like Raconteurs, QOTSA, or even Promise of the Real and the jam band scene. When concerts come back to life that is. And they fucking will, cause Rock is nuclear proof and dad's drugs are better than what the kids are copping these days.
Wherever you're safe right now in the new world it's never last call. Raise your glass and dive into what could possibly be described as the "best new classic rock album by a punk bartender in an unaffordable city during a pandemic". Thanks for reading, listening and sharing this album. Oh and tips are always accepted! Cheers!

"If the world ends tomorrow then we're doing it right, it's the last night promise and it's all on the line. Better tell your lover to keep pouring the wine, when the lights go out it's been a hell of a, hell of a time."
